Laupin operates YPC Viewer, a local viewer for compatible Wi-Fi endoscope modules. This policy explains what the app accesses and how that information is handled.
Summary
YPC Viewer has no account, advertising, analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting SDK, or backend service. Laupin does not collect or share personal or device data through the app.
Local Wi-Fi access
The app can ask Android to show compatible Endoscope-prefixed Wi-Fi networks and connect to the network you select. Android 13 and later call this the Nearby Wi-Fi devices permission. Android 10–12 protect Wi-Fi discovery with a Location permission. YPC Viewer does not use these permissions to determine, store, or transmit your physical location.
The endoscope network normally has no internet access. Camera signaling and video frames travel directly between your device and the endoscope on that local network.
Camera frames, photos, and videos
Live frames are decoded and displayed on your device. When you request a snapshot, the current frame is saved through Android MediaStore to Pictures/YPC Viewer. When you request a recording, frames are encoded locally as a silent H.264 MP4 and saved to Movies/YPC Viewer. YPC Viewer does not upload this media.
You control retention through your device's gallery or file-management tools. Removing YPC Viewer does not automatically remove photos or videos that you chose to save.
Demo mode
Demo mode generates a bundled, simulated inspection sequence locally. It is clearly marked DEMO, does not connect to hardware, and does not request Wi-Fi permission.
Information we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, accounts, or contact lists
- Physical location or location history
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Camera frames, snapshots, or recordings
- Usage analytics, diagnostics, or behavioral data

The About screen contains user-initiated links to Laupin support, this privacy policy, and Laupin's website. These links open in your browser, and the destination's own privacy practices apply. YPC Viewer does not receive data from those sites.
Security and data sharing
Because the app does not operate a backend or collect user data, it has no collected user data to sell or share. Local endoscope traffic may be unencrypted because compatible hardware uses a local RTSP/RTP protocol; keep the endoscope network private and disconnect when finished.
Children
YPC Viewer is a general inspection utility intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and Laupin does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
